DEMOPOLIS &8212; Fay T. Colyar, 69, of Demopolis, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Jasper, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Buck Templeton and Kathleen Templeton Garrett of Tullahoma, Tenn. who survives. She was married to Allan Colyar of Demopolis, who also survives. She attended First Christian Church in Tullahoma. She was a homemaker, and had formerly worked at The Tullahoma News, The Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro, Tenn. and The Review-Appeal in Franklin, Tenn. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Murdock officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma. Visitation with the family will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a son, Ric Colyar and wife, Lori, of Demopolis, two daughters, Dane Colyar Victory and husband, Vic, of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Leigh Colyar Trail and husband, Max, of Tullahoma, brother, Woody Templeton and wife, Barbara, of Tullahoma, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children&8217;s Research Hospital.
