DEMOPOLIS &8212; Annie Kate Griffin, 64, of Demopolis, a retired educator with the Demopolis City Schools died Nov. 21, 2007, at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at the El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, Miss. The Rev. Van C. Williams was the eulogist.
Interment followed in New Hope-Blackwater Cemetery in Marion, Miss.
Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were entrusted with arrangements.
She was a graduate of Mississippi Valley College with a bachelor of science degree.
She was united in holy matrimony to Frank Griffin.
Survivors include a son, Demetrius Griffin, of Meridian, Miss.; a stepson, Larry Griffin and wife, Debra, of Demopolis; four siblings, Bernice M. Pernell, Ida M. Stringfellow and Katherine Adams, all of Meridian, Miss. and Henry Adams of Calif.; friend, Willie J. Anderson of Demopolis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends.
