PHILADELPHIA, Miss. &8212; George Nelson, 61, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Miss.

Services for Nelson will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, from McClain-Hays Chapel in Philadelphia, Miss.

Dr. Dan Howard, the Revs. Mike Skinner, Jerry Skinner and Grover Vining will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in the House Community of Neshoba County, Miss.

He was born in Eutaw and made his home in Livingston and Demopolis for many years, but had made his home in Philadelphia, Miss. for the past nine years. Nelson was a member of First Christian Church in Demopolis.

He had worked in the Radiology Department at Air Park Clinic in Philadelphia, Miss. for the past six years.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Skinner Nelson, of Philadelphia, Miss.; two sons, Derrick Nelson and his wife, Terra of Birmingham and Tony Nelson and his wife, Candi, of Meridian, Miss.; five grandchildren; one sister, Mamie Sue Chapman, of Mars Hill, N.C. and one brother, Charles W. Nelson of Demopolis.

Pallbearers will be Aubrey Ward, Will Petty, Billy Norrell, Ray Bostick, Russell Moore and Herman Stegall.
