GALLION &8212; Shirley Louise Thomas-Jones, 66, of Gallion, died Oct. 25, 2007, at Wellstar-Cobb Medical Center in Austell, Ga. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Mount Horeb Baptist Church in Faunsdale. The Rev. Mitchell Congress officiated. Eloise Ravizee is the mistress of order. Interment followed in St. Paul Cemetery in Gallion. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were entrusted with arrangements.
Her parents; her husband, Cornelius; two brothers, Emanuel Bryant Jr. and Jive Bryant; and her sister, Fannie Thomas White; preceded her in death. Survivors include two children: Annette Davis and husband, Joe, of Powder Springs, Ga. and Calvin Jones of Gallion; three grandchildren; step-children, Clyde Lyons and Ronnie of Louisiana, Laura Lyons of Manhattan, N.Y., Cornelius Jones Jr. and wife, Vickie, of Hiram, Ga., Alvin Jones and Nina, Cassandra Jones and Dwayne Jones, all of Chicago, Tracey Wilson and husband, Edward, of Valdosta, Ga.; host of step-grandchildren; six siblings, Shirley Jones of Gallion, Clarice Thomas of Gallion, Nallie Jones and husband, Willie, of Gallion, Dora Hawkins and husband, Alex, of Demopolis, Willie Thomas and wife, Nancy, of Birmingham and Jessie Bryant of Faunsdale; a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, relatives and friends.
