BROOKWOOD &8212; Demopolis High School&8217;s defense was having none of it Friday night. The group stood Brookwood&8217;s offense on its head. Of course, they did give up one yard &8212; one yard of total offense.

The Brookwood High School Panthers managed to pick up four first downs on the way to their 28-6 loss to the Tigers. The group&8217;s source of positive yardage from the stingy Demopolis defense came through the air, where the group went 3-of-5 for 12 yards &8212; just enough to offset 28 rushes for

negative 12 yards. And the Tigers even gave up two fumbles.

The Demopolis offense didn&8217;t quite have the same problem as the ailing Panthers. The Tigers had 20 first downs and a total of 344 yards offense. The majority of the production came on the ground, in the form of 308 yards off 51 carries, but the Tigers did manage 36 yards through the air, completing 4-of-11.

Scoring, Demopolis had two in the second quarter from Shantrell Braxton, who was the leading rusher in the game with 17 carries for 168 yards, and from Ethan Green. The other two from the team came in the third from Braxton and Demarcus James.
