Dr. and Mrs. William Johnson Urquhart of Mobile announce the engagement of their daughter, Marietta Blake Urquhart, to Charles Webb Holmes son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allison Holmes of Marion.

Bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Manson Murray of Mobile and the late Mrs. and Mrs. Homer Johnson Urquhart Jr. of Birmingham. Miss Urquhart is a graduate of UMS-Wright Preparatory School and Washington and Lee University and is currently employed as managing editor of Birmingham Magazine.

The groom elect is the grandson of Mrs. William Benjamin Cooper and the late Mr. William Benjamin Cooper of Demopolis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Allison Davis Holmes Jr. of Gallion. Mr. Holmes is a graduate of Marion Military Institute and Auburn University. He works in the family business, Holmestead Company.

The wedding is planned for Jan. 19, 2008, at St. Paul&8217;s Episcopal Church in Mobile.
