FORKLAND &8212; Gary Maurice Benison, 41, of Forkland died Sept. 16, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at the St. Matthew Watson Baptist Church in Boligee. The Rev. Christopher Spencer will officiate. Interment will follow in Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church Memorial Gardens in Forkland. The remains will repose at the church beginning at noon on Saturday. Public viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements.

His parents, Aaron Benison Sr. and Cressie R.E. Benison and nine siblings, Aaron Jr., Willie Lee, Roy, Melvin, Nathan, Wilson, Cleosis, Willie Ann and Viola preceded him in death.

Survivors include six sisters, Emma D. Benison of Demopolis, Elizabeth Powell and husband, Joe, of Eutaw; Juanita James, Nellie Biggs and husband, Robert, Bobbie J. Benison and Mary V. Williams, all of Forkland; one brother, George Benison of Bessemer; one aunt, Maggie Evans of Tuscaloosa; a brother-in-law, Edward L. Green of Forkland; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
