DEMOPOLIS &8212; Sean Wilson and a crew of Alabama supporters will be headed to Tuscaloosa for today&8217;s game against Arkansas.
Not only is Wilson excited about the game, but also he is excited to show off his recently redesigned and converted gameday tailgating trailer, something he describes as being &8220;a real traffic stopper.&8221;
His trailer is not something that can be found anywhere else. It is a custom-designed ride completely decked out in University of Alabama Crimson Tide paraphernalia.
To show support for his favorite college football team, Wilson along with friend Jimmy McCrory, converted a portable phone booth into a traveling-tailgate trailer.
After going to games last year, Wilson said he was taking ideas from other tailgaters on how to create the perfect tailgating trailer. Since he is in the pay phone business, he already had an old portable pay phone trailer, which would become his new ride after about a month worth of work.
One side is the entertainment center with a 32-inch television and the other side is the &8220;food court&8221; which includes a self-storing gas grill for making all the gameday essentials.
Although he describes it as a work in progress, Wilson said he has gotten quite a response from the unique trailer. The first trip it made to Tuscaloosa was to the first game this season at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
