DEMOPOLIS &8212; Samuel Lamar Loftin, 60, of Demopolis, died Sept. 11, 2007, at his home in Demopolis. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. on Friday, at O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden. Interment will follow in Old Liberty Cemetery, in Nicholsville.

Loftin was born Jan. 19, 1947, in Thomasville. He was director of operations at Rock-Tenn Co. He was a member of Sweet Water United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two brothers, Jerry E. Loftin and wife, Joyce, and Benjamin Michael Loftin and wife, Sue, both of Sweet Water; one niece, Jennifer L. Pugh and husband, Jason, of Bashi, two nephews, Mitchell Loftin of Sweet Water and Mitchell Loftin and wife, Amber, of Cullman and three great nephews.
