LPD charges two juveniles with burglary

LINDEN &8212; The investigation for an Aug. 6 burglary at Gardner ACE Hardware Store on Shiloh Street came to a close Tuesday when Linden Police arrested two juveniles in connection with the case.
Interim Police Chief Scott McClure reported when the break-in was reported, police discovered two 12-gauge shotguns were stolen from the rack. Investigation in the case continued and due in part from tips from the public, two people have been arrested.
From the information they received, police contacted two individuals, both 16-year-old males, and questioned them about the burglary. During the interview both gave police a written statement as to their involvement in the burglary. Both were arrested and charged under the law as a juvenile with burglary in the second degree.
Police have recovered both of the shotguns stolen from the business, and they will be returned to the storeowner as soon a possible.
