DEMOPOLIS &8212; The French Quarter Market, a new store which specializes in home d/cor and furnishings, is set to officially open on Friday. The new location is on the corner of North Strawberry Street and East Washington Street. Even though they are not officially opened, they have already seen a number of new customers.
Cramer has been working hard to stock her new store and set up displays. Mitzi South will also be working at the French Quarter Market as an interior designer. She is a licensed interior designer who has been working in the industry for many years. In addition to carrying a myriad of items to decorate your home, they also offer an interior design service.
Cramer describes the style of their collection as eclectic. Some of them are used pieces and antiques, others are pieces that she finds at other markets and auctions.
Cramer actually used to operate French Market next door to the new location, where she was in the antiques business for one year. She and her family had planned on moving, but ended up staying in Demopolis, which prompted her to purchase the space on the corner and open up a new store.
Cramer is also an avid painter and plans to sell some of her original works at the French Quarter Market.
