According to Councilman Jack Cooley, the force has only been around for approximately 18 months, and in that time they have &8220;performed admirably for the city.&8221;

At the meeting, however, Cooley made a recommendation that the council discuss the abolition of the group.

Recently, the council received word that several of the members of the Force had become disgruntled with the way their efforts were being pursued. Because of their dissatisfaction, the Force has seen its membership drop.

Currently there are five remaining members of the Task Force. One of those members officially announced their resignation for the council to accept.

Councilman Thomas Moore said there should be further considerations taken before abolishing the entire group.

Moore then made a suggestion that the council contact all the remaining members by way of a letter, and upon their response they would take further action to resolve the situation.

The council accepted said member&8217;s resignation, but voted to further discuss the fate of the task force.
