DEMOPOLIS &045; In terms of school assembly’s, one of the nations most popular will make a stop at Demopolis schools. The Mike Hagen Strength will make appearances at area schools this week to speak and demonstrate to students.
The message of The Strength Team is proven to inspire students to have a &8220;goal and dream in their heart.&8221; The goal and dream is something that a student wants to accomplish when they finish school. As you know, many students today battle with many things that effect their ability to keep a focus on their goals and dreams. The Strength Team encourages every student to set his or her goals high, work hard, and see his or her dreams come true.
The team uses the feats of strength in the assembly to &8220;grab the attention&8221; of the students. After that, the team delivers a challenging and motivating message. As The Strength Team talks about &8220;goals and dreams&8221; they connect that theme to the powerful theme of &8220;CHOICES.&8221;
Through many creative means of communication The Strength Team communicates how &8220;choices&8221; impact your path to your goal and dream.
The team is made up of professional football players and baseball players, power weight lifters, body builders, and professional bull riders.
The message of The Strength Team also emphasizes the importance of education at all age levels. The Team shares the concepts about hard work and diligence in school. The assembly shows the students the positive results that come from that kind of work ethic. The Strength Team also encourages students to never give up, and to finish their education.
Although the Team is a group of world-class athletes, the message is not a sports centered message, but a self-esteem building message that has long lasting impact. Although the team members have great physical strength, none of the members use any form of steroids or strength enhancing drugs to increase their athletic ability. All the members of the team emphasize that there are no short cuts in life, anything that you do comes through hard work and perseverance (success is earned).
The Strength Team will do two sessions at Demopolis High on this morning followed by an afternoon appearance at Demopolis Middle School.
Tomorrow they pay a visit to A.L. Johnson and John Essex for morning sessions and then to U.S. Jones in the afternoon.
On Friday the team will at Westside Elementary in the morning, then head to Linden for a combined session with Austin Middle School and Linden Elementary that afternoon.
For all of the non-students or those that are interested in the Strength Teams message, they will appear at the First Baptist Church Gym tonight thru Sunday nightly at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
