Murder mystery dinner promises to be fun

Well, next week I will be attending my ’20 Year Class Reunion’ – and so will everyone else (from age 16 to 66) who purchases a ticket to the ‘Murder Mystery Dinner Theater’ hosted by the Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce, the Canebrake Players and Napoleon’s Restaurant. This fundraiser promises to be a night of mischievous mystery and hilarity!

The setting is the ’20 Year Class Reunion’ of Napoleon Bonaparte High School. Everyone who was anyone is sure to be back to celebrate this reunion! We already have commitments from the Class President, the Head Cheerleader and the Captain of the Football team, the Nerd and even your old friend the Hippie!

Some of your classmates will look older than the hills and some won’t seem to have aged a day. But you know the old saying, ‘the more things change the more they stay the same.’ Will they really stay the same? High School was a time of young love and broken hearts. Every case of puppy love was a case of do or die! Do or die…? We’ll be voting on ‘most likely to get 20 years to life’ in this homicidally hilarious mystery! So make your plans now to attend this event.

Tickets are $35.00 per person and include a 4-course meal and the show. You may choose your meal from a menu of Monterey Chicken (grilled and smothered with saut/ed mushrooms in a wine sauce, topped with Swiss cheese), Rib-eye Steak (12oz choice, hand-cut steak grilled to your preferred temperature), or Seafood Platter (including jumbo shrimp, crab claws, and fillet of flounder all golden fried to perfection). All meals include appetizers, salads, baked potato, saut/ed vegetables, hot rolls, tea, soft drinks, coffee and dessert. Alcoholic beverages will be served at an added cost.

The reunion will be held on Friday, March 31st, 2006 at Napoleons Restaurant in downtown Demopolis. All activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required and tickets can be purchased at Napoleon’s (289-9550) or at the Chamber (289-0270). Remember this will be your ’20 Year Class Reunion’ too, so be sure to tease those bangs and sport your best pair of parachute pants from 1986 and we’ll see you there!

P.S. AND NO, I’M NOT OLD ENOUGH FOR MY REAL ’20 YEAR CLASS REUNION!’
