Terri Speegle, a kindergarten teacher at Westside Elementary School, has been featured on Montgomery television all week as WSFA-12’s ‘Class Act’ teacher of the week. Above, Speegle works with students from her class during reading group. The TV station notified Westside faculty of the honor Monday morning. She will be recognized in regular spots throughout the week. Speegle is the wife of Dr. Tony Speegle, principal at U. S. Jones School.
Her children are Shelby and Susanne. Speegle was one of the first teachers at Westside to receive a Demopolis City Schools Foundation Grant. Through the years she has received many grants and has served on the Foundation Board.
She and another teacher started the Westside School yearbook. The yearbook has been a continuing project for many years.
