Second and third-grade students at Linden Elementary drew signs to welcome home the 200th Engineer Battalion Tuesday afternoon.

As Ms. Matthew’s teacher activity, the group of students was divided into five groups and given markers and poster board to create a personal message for the troops upon their much-awaited arrival.

Demetrius Ruffin, Martes Wheeler, Alante Flie, Tyrent Williams, Herbert Johnson, Ashley Harris, Keanna Carr, Frynecia Alvis, Adrienne Richardson, Tylexia Rowe, Whitney Bishop, Aiyana McCaskey, Kyasia Chaney, Kyana Reese, Jymya Thompson, Quan Stewart, Diamond Wheeler, LaQuasha Dixon, Lynneshia Dukes, Oriana Little, Ashley Hudson, Angela Carter, Lissilvia Haywood and Jeleel Evans participated in the afternoon activities.
