Eagles handle Panthers, move 4-2

YORK–The Sumter Acad. varsity boys enjoyed the comforts of home Thursday night, coasting to an easy 69-15 victory over visiting Marion Acad.
After leading 19-8 after the first quarter, the Eagles would hold the Panthers to fewer than than 8 points total for the rest of the game.
Stephen Dennis led three Eagles in double figures with 16 points. Chris Robinson and Tyler Guin each added 10, followed by Bill Tartt and Steven Ray with 7, Joseph Reed with 6, Matt Bouler with 5, Ryan Guin with 4, and Drew Stuart and Tanner Armstrong with 2 each.
Carlos Farley and Trey Bamberg each scored 5 points for Marion Acad., while Tyler Mitchell and James Stewart scored 2 and Tevin Howze 1.
Sumter’s next game will be at home Dec. 9 against West Alabama Prep.
