Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Baugh of Linden and Mr. Karl L. Krusmark III of Demopolis would like to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Ann to David Graeme West of Sydney, Australia.

Amanda is a 2000 graduate of Demopolis High School and a recent graduate of The University of Alabama in Huntsville where she received a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education and a minor in art. She is currently teaching at Madison Crossroads Elementary in Toney.

Amanda is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kane of Demopolis and Mr. and Mrs. Karl L. Krusmark Jr. of Demopolis.

She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Eloise Kane and the late Mr. Leven Kane of Demopolis and Mrs. Annie Hoggle and the late Mr. Marvin Hoggle of Uniontown.

David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Graeme Raymond West of Sydney, Australia. David traveled to the United States on a baseball scholarship. He is currently attending The University of Alabama in Huntsville where he was a member of the Chargers baseball team. He will graduate in December with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a minor in special education.

David is the grandson of Mrs. Elaine Telling and Mr. Raymond West of Sydney, Australia.

David and Amanda are planning a Nov. 6 wedding to be held at the Botanical Gardens in Huntsville.
