Wednesday Cingular Wireless officially became the newest addition to Demopolis’ Canebrake Commons. The store officially opened its doors Wednesday morning and never slowed down the rest of the day.
President Ron Foster said they received a very encouraging outpour of support on their first full day open.
“This was the first day we have opened up and we stayed really busy,” Foster said. “It has been wide open al day long.”
The new store will offer most any phone and accessory people will need along with timely service. Foster said the store, which is an agent for Cingular Wireless will have the ability to provide on site service for their customers needs.
We are a fulltime facility,” Foster said. “We can provide full customer service and bill paying right here.”
Foster, who has been an agent for Cingular Wireless for 10 years, said the store will offer a full line of phones and accessories all the while living up to their creed of “lowest price guaranteed.”
The new store will be one of several in the area. Foster said they have agents all over the twin states and planned to open another branch nearby in the next month.
“We will be opening a store in Selma in the next three weeks and we have stores all over Mississippi and Alabama,” Foster said. “I think our reputation will help us. We have a really good reputation and that is something we take a lot of pride in. Service and service after the sale.”
Cingular plans to open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday hours will likely be set for 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The first Saturday will be the biggest as the store will celebrate its grand opening. Foster said they already have fun, entertainment and food lined up along with very good rates on new service.
“We will have the radio station coming out and we will have free drinks and pizza,” Foster said. “We have also introduced our promotion of free phones with new activation.”
