DEMOPOLIS – The start of the 2005 Dixie Youth Baseball League has been a tremendous success.
And both the kids participating and the parents involved have found the experience to be very enjoyable.
“I absolutely love it,” parent and assistant coach Mark Trest said.
“I’ve been out here since my son was in the 4-year-old league and I have been involved ever since.
I just enjoy helping out where needed.”
Dixie Youth games continued last night and will resume again starting next week.
“Anytime you have youth involved in a program like this, it provides an outlet for play and also teaches them life lessons,” Recreation Manager Johnny Brooker said.
“And to give them a facility like we have at the Plex just adds to that experience.”
