Fast food not fast enough

Rubbernecking can be a serious problem on the interstate, but residents driving Greensboro’s Tuscaloosa St. Saturday morning should be forgiven if they held up traffic for just a second or two.
The cause for all the neck straining was a bizarre accident in the parking lot of El Tenampa Mexican Restaurant. A person driving a small crimson pickup lost control of his or her vehicle and slammed through the brick wall of the restaurant, scattering glass and debris throughout the dining room.
“We don’t know exactly what happened,” said Rogelio Ayala, owner of El Tenampa. “We think it happened around 8 in the morning, so no one was there. Someone just drove straight through the wall.”
Despite the structural damage, Ayala was upbeat and already has the restaurant ready for customers again.
“It’s open right now,” he said. “The hole has been fixed back up and we’re back in business.”
Due to the Martin Luther King holiday Monday, the Greensboro Police Department was unable to comment on the accident.
