The Demopolis Tigers football championship has put sports programs at the high school to a halt.
Literally.
Because of the Tigers success in reaching the Super Six [and eventually claiming themselves 4A state champs], Demopolis school officials decided to push back the basketball season until after the playoffs were completed.
And now that the football game has ended [though the excitement still runs freely], the time has come for the Tigers hoops season to officially begin.
This year’s basketball teams at Demopolis have high hopes of repeating what the football team did on Friday night.
The ultimate goal of winning a state championship.
