Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Washington-Scott of Waco, Texas, a former native of Dayton, will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, Dayton, with the Rev. Roy L. Scruggs officiating. The Rev. E. Charleston is pastor. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery, Dayton, with Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, entrusted with arrangements.
Nathan Clinton Johnson
Demopolis
Mr. Nathan Clinton Johnson, 53, of Demopolis, passed Oct. 8, 2004 at his residence. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Jefferson. The Rev. Edmond Charleston officiated. Interment followed in Scott Memorial Cemetery in Jefferson. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis entrusted with arrangements.
He was employed with the City Of Demopolis Street and Sanitation Department for more than 27 years.
Survivors include one brother, Eugene Allen of New Jersey; five nieces, Brenda Sams, Flossie (Chester) Johnson, Nancy Johnson, Jessie Regina (Alfred) Oates, all of Demopolis, and Jennifer Johnson of Perris, Calif.; one nephew, Robert (Ruby) Johnson, Lansing, Mich.; a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Lonnie Lewis Minor, Jr.
Faunsdale
Mr. Lonnie Lewis Minor, Jr., 20, of Faunsdale, passed Oct. 9, 2004 in Gallion, the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the A.L. Johnson Gymnasium in Thomaston. The Rev. Mitchell Congress officiated. Interment followed in First Baptist Cemetery in Faunsdale. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis were entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include a loving mother and father, Julia Henton Minor and Lonnie Minor Sr., of Faunsdale; one loving sister, Kimberly L. Minor of Faunsdale; a loving grandmother, Amelia Henton of Faunsdale; 12 aunts, nine uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Gail Raby-Hildreth

Mrs. Gail Raby-Hildreth, 39, of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Linden, passed Oct. 6, 2004 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church in Linden. The Rev. E. Charleston is the pastor. The Rev. Samuel Richardson officiated. Interment followed in Cade Chapel Cemetery in Hugo. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis were entrusted with arrangements.
She was a 1982 graduate of Linden High School, received a bachelor’s degree from Stillman University and her masters degree from Troy State University.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Hildreth of Tuscaloosa; one son, Walter Hildreth Jr., of Tuscaloosa; loving mother, Emma Raby of Linden; one step-daughter, one step-son; six brothers Dennis (Dorothy) Raby of Thomaston, Attorney Larry (Barbara) Raby of Montgomery, Clifford III (Betty) Raby of Safford, the Rev. Kenneth (Jackie) Raby of Demopolis, Bennie (Marva) Raby of Birmingham, Albert (Onita) Raby of Linden; three sisters, Shirley (John) Winters of Fayetteville, Ga., Janet (Mosey) Linton of Linden and Pamela (Nathaniel) Bartee of Fort Leonardwood, Mo.; four aunts; mother-in-law, Willie Bell Hildreth of Demopolis; three brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, and a host of relatives and friends.

She passed Oct. 20, 2004 at Bryan W Whitfield Memorial Hospital, Demopolis.

Funeral services for Mr. Junious Steed of Westchester, N.Y. are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church, Dollarhide Community, Boligee. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis are entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Junious Steed is the beloved husband of Mrs. Florence Walton Steed, a former native of the Dollarhide Community, Boligee.
