UWA volleyball team drops 3-0 decision

HUNTSVILLE – The University of West Alabama volleyball team continued Gulf South Conference action on Tuesday night, dropping a 3-0 (30-17, 30-28, 30-22) decision to Alabama-Huntsville (19-7, 7-1 GSC) in Huntsville, Ala.
Haley Ball had a team-high 12 kills for the Tigers to go along with eight digs and three block assists. Amanda Heaton added 10 kills and seven digs, while Melanie Moffett had a match-high 13 digs. Whitney Burt led West Alabama with 27 assists.
Emily Miller and Melissa Feldmann each had 13 kills to lead Alabama-Huntsville. Samantha Polkowski had a match-high 36 assists for UAH, while Kim Beesley added seven kills and three block assists.
West Alabama moves to 6-18 overall and 2-5 in the GSC. The Tigers return to action on Friday as they travel to Florence, Ala., to take on North Alabama at 7:00 p.m.
