Staff Reports
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests:
Robert Henley, 34, of Boligee was arrested Sept. 15 and charged with first-degree receiving stolen property and hindering prosecution. He was released on $14,000 bond.
Jessica Wilson, 19, of Forkland was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with promoting prison contraband after she attempted to smuggle cigarettes into the jail inside a travel toothbrush holder. She was released on a $500 bond.
Makente Livingston, 31, of Eutaw was arrested Sept. 14 and charged with third-degree domestic violence. Livingston was released on a $1,000 bond.
Carl Tyrone Mobley, 35, of Epes, was arrested Sept. 15 and charged with child support. He was released on an $1,800 cash payment.
Cynthia Braggs, 42, of Eutaw was arrested Sept. 15 and charged with child support. She was released on a $300 cash payment.
Raymond Powell, 25, of Eutaw was arrested Sept. 13 and charged with failure to appear on domestic assault and failure to appear on menacing. He remains in the Greene County Jail.
Roger Wilder, 44, of Greene County was arrested Sept. 15 and charged with failure to appear on a felony DUI. He remains in the Greene County Jail.
Stephen Norwood, 20, of Eutaw was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with DUI. He was released on a $1,000 bond. Also arrested was a 17-year-old who was charged with minor in possession of alcohol.

September 13
Harassment was reported after a Eutaw resident alleged that three other women were harassing her for no reason.
September 14
Criminal mischief was reported after a Greensboro woman had to leave her car on the side of the road following a breakdown. When she returned the car had been scratched up.
Burglary was reported after $250 worth of assorted tools, an electric drill, four pairs of white tennis shoes, a hack saw, a hammer, a boombox, two pipe wrenches, other assorted tools, a phone and two boxes of 12-guage shotgun shells were taken. A window was also damaged.
Burglary and theft of property was reported in Boligee after a double-barrel shotgun, .357 revolver, rifle with scope and a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck were taken.
Officers recovered a 1995 Chevrolet Impala that had been reportedly taken from Tuscaloosa County Sept. 13. The truck had been stripped of its motor, transmission and four doors, and had been burned.
Burglary and criminal mischief were reported at the Industrial Park after vandals damaged a building and a gate and took two exterior doors, 600-square-feet of carpet, a commode, an alarm, an electric mitre box and an air conditioner unit
Harassment was reported after someone left threatening messages on a Boligee resident’s answering machine. The victim believes the threats are because of her son.
September 15
Theft of property and forgery were reported after someone took a Gainesville resident’s checkbook and forged several checks valued at $297.57 so far.
Criminal mischief and attempted burglary were reported after a camphouse in West Greene County was damaged. An electric box and door frame were damaged, but entry was not gained.
Burglary was reported at a home in Greene County after a 300 magnum rifle and scope, a Sony PlayStation, 20 games, an air compressor and $250 in change were taken.
September 19
Harassment was reported after a Eutaw resident reported that her boyfriend threatened her, pulled her hair and otherwise harassed her. She would not press charges.
September 20
Burglary was reported at a home in Forkland after the owner left to escape Hurricane Ivan and returned to find the living room window broken and her computer gone.
The following arrests were made by the Demopolis Police Department:
Wanda M. Adams, 34 was arrested on Sept. 13 for 7 counts of negotiating with a non-negotiable instrument.
Brenda H. Lapsley, 30 was arrested on Sept. 13 for negotiating with a non-negotiable instrument.
Frankie L. Holloway, 54 was arrested on Sept. 14 for contempt of court.
LaTonya R. Campbell, 20 was arrested on Sept. 15 for simple assault.
Reese M. Holifield, Jr., 45 was arrested on Sept. 16 for D.U.I. and theft-shoplifting.
Cesar J. Castillo, 42 was arrested on Sept. 16 for pedestrian under influence.
Chris Lawson, 23 was arrested on Sept. 17 for disorderly conduct.
Franklin Johnson, 38 was arrested on Sept. 17 for criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Tracy R. Lawson, 18 was arrested Sept. 17 for disorderly conduct.
Christopher B. Agnew, 19 was arrested on Sept. 18 for D.U.I.
Wayne G. Parker, 41 was arrested on Sept. 19 for assault on police officer, driving with suspended license, D.U.I., and driving off truck route.

September 14
A gas drive off was reported on Hwy 80 West
Third-degree theft of property was reported on a bicycle on North Chestnut Street.
Harassment was reported on Hwy 80 East.
September 15
A gas drive off was reported on Hwy 80 West
Third-degree criminal trespass was reported at Diamond Gas.
September 16
A D.U.I. and third-degree theft of property was reported at Elk Food Mart of Quicksilver Motor Oil.
September 17
Third-degree theft of property was reported on North Walnut Ave. of some gas.
Third-degree criminal trespass and resisting was reported at Days Inn.
Third-degree simple assault was reported on Wolf Circle.
Simple assault-domestic violence was reported on Blacks Drive.
A recovered stolen vehicle, a 1991 Nissan Stanza, was reported on Hwy 43 at Kora’s Place.
September 18
A D.U.I. was reported on Hwy 80.
Third-degree criminal mischief was reported in Mauvilla Trailer Park with damage to an exterior window.
Harassment and aggravated menacing was reported on Wolf Circle.
September 19
Second-degree assault of a police officer and D.U.I. was reported on South Front Street.
Third-degree burglary was reported at Captain D’s.
September 20
Third-degree domestic violence was reported on Kauffman Drive.
Third-degree criminal mischief was reported at the Lube Center with damage to the building.
Second-degree theft was reported at Scott’s diesel of tires, air wrench, socket, air jack, tire tools, and gas.
First-degree theft of property was reported at Newell Paper Company on a 1998 International Box Truck.
The following arrests were made by the Eutaw Police Department:
On Sept. 19, Eutaw officers arrested six juveniles in two separate incidents of dice gambling.
Marie Bell, 40, of Eutaw, was arrested Sept. 12 and charged with excessive use of pepper spray after she allegedly used pepper spray to break up an argument between her daughter and two other juveniles.
Willie Smith, 54, of Eutaw, was arrested Sept. 19 and charged with domestic violence.
Gary Jones, 19, of Eutaw was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary.

Burglary was reported on Route 2 in Eutaw after $98 in change, a herringbone bracelet, a watch, two diamond rings, a tennis bracelet and two cases of beer were taken.
Criminal mischief was reported at the Courthouse after someone damaged two vending machines.
September 19
Burglary was reported at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Eutaw. A window air conditioner unit, window lock and frame, and the sheetrock around the window were damaged for a total of $1,000 worth of damage. Seven cases of soda valued at $34 were taken.
Domestic violence was reported on First Avenue South.
