Edward Lee Vaughn
Demopolis
Funeral services for Mr. Edward Lee Vaughn, age 70 of 171 Double Creek Road Demopolis will be 3 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2004 at Fairhaven Baptist Church, Demopolis with Dr. Allen Atkins officiating.
Burial will follow in Lipscomb Cemetery, off Marengo Co. Rd 21, Demopolis.
The Kidd-Robbins funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at Fairhaven Baptist Church one hour prior to the services.
Mr. Vaughn died Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward Lewis Vaughn and Tossaleigh Coleman Vaughn.
Mr. Vaughn leaves to cherish her memories, a wife Shirley Plummer Vaughn of Demopolis, 1 son John Edward Vaughn (Susan) of Demopolis, one daughter Angie V. Batchelor (Stanley) of Montgomery, 2 sisters, Joan Vaughn and Dannie Laura Vaughan both of Demopolis, 6 grandchildren, Curtis Edward Vaughn, Daniel Cullen, James Allen Vaughan, Elizabeth Cullen, Zoe Grace Batchelor, and Mia Rose Batchelor.
Pallbearers will be Jack McPherson, John Andrews, Don Holtzclaw, Marty Wells, Gwinn Etheridge, Steve Mangum, and Dr. Teddy Vaughan.
Honorary pallbearers are Steve Reaves and Men’s 5 Sunday school class of Fairhaven Baptist Church.
Mr. Vaughn was a native and lifelong resident of Demopolis where he was a member of the Fairhaven Baptist Church and taught the Men’s 5 Sunday school class.
He served in the Alabama National Guard with more than 20 years of services.
He retired from the Gulf States Paper Mill after 39 years of service.
