In response to an Executive Order issued by President George W. Bush, Post Offices across the nation will be closed on Friday, June 11, as a mark of respect for former President Ronald Reagan, who died Saturday.

There will be no regular mail delivery or retail service on Friday. However, Express Mail service will be available, and regular retail and delivery service will resume on Saturday, June 12.

Business mailers who had planned to deposit large mail volumes at Postal Service Bulk Mail Acceptances Units on Friday should contact their mail acceptance facilities to determine if there are any changes to acceptance dates and times.

Linden City Hall will be closed on Friday as well. The Demopolis City Hall will stay open on Friday.
