Archery instruction was reinstituted by the Judson College Human Performance Department this spring, and the response was gratifying, according to instructor Ann Tew.
“We had two classes with more than 30 students participating,” Tew said. “This was the first class in modern history and we found a lot of interest.”
Six of the 30 students made their way to the final tournament on April 16. Cathy Kelly of Alabaster won the first place trophy. Dani Cooper of Weogufka placed second, and Shae Johnson of Huntsville placed third.
“It was a lot of fun and our students worked hard,” Tew said. “We’ll definitely offer the course again next spring.”
