The Friendship Club of Demopolis met Jan. 12 in the First United Methodist Fellowship Hall with 66 persons present.

Banners on the walls held greetings of “Happy New Year” welcoming 2004.

Members enjoyed visiting and games, after which “Happy Birthday” was sung to J.D. West, Mrs. Jason Thigpen, Henry Harrison and Myles Mayberry.

The Annie McLeod Group served a delicious luncheon of soup, pimento cheese sandwiches, broccoli muffins, tea and coffee with assorted desserts.

Those serving were Mrs. Warren Gibson, Mrs. Russell Burdette, Mrs. George Spence, Mrs. William Campbell, Mrs. Harold Park, mrs. Arthur Lee Hitt, Mrs. John Perolio and Mrs. Jack Willoughby.
