It may have burned down, but it will be re-opening soon.
Mr. G’s pizza in Demopolis, which burned down three months ago, is expected to re-open sometime during early December, said restaurant manager Gerald Gilbert.
Gilbert said the restaurant was hit by lightning three months ago, which is what caused the restaurant to burn down.
Gilbert said the restaurant would re-open on Highway 80 near Newton’s Tire Service, rather than at its former location on N. Walnut Street.
Gilbert said that the restaurant is a family style restaurant, a place where the whole family "can go and hang out."
Gilbert said that they are trying to make it a "nice place to come back to."
Gilbert said the restaurant would try and bring back all its original employees.
Gilbert said that there are many people in Demopolis who are anxious to see it re-open.
Gilbert said the restaurant serves other things besides pizza, including pasta dishes, lasagna dishes, as well as barbeque.
Gilbert said the restaurant’s re-opening is a good thing for the citizens of Demopolis.
