The tartar sauce on the fish sandwich will reopen soon.
A Linden landmark, the Dairy Queen has closed, temporarily. The fast food restaurant on East Coats Avenue will reopen August 11 under new management.
The business has only been closed a few days.
John Lucas, who owns the building, is taking over management, said Linden City Administrator Cheryl Hall. Mark Collier, the previous manager of Dairy Queen, has opened the new Downtown Grill, located at the intersection of East Coats and Highway 43 across from the Marengo County Courthouse. The grill officially opened Monday.
Lucas’ son also runs the Dairy Queen in Thomasville, Hall said.
