A Linden man hit by a drunk driver is still in critical condition at a Tuscaloosa hospital.
According to Brad Fisher, spokesman for DCH Regional Medical Center, Carlton Gray, 19, is "unfortunately still in critical condition."
On Tuesday, July 1, Willie Thomas Marshall was arrested and booked under a litany of charges when the car he was driving left the road and struck four young men. Except for Gray, the other victims were all juveniles.
According to Linden Police Chief Jeff Laduron, Gray’s condition has not improved and despite previously published reports, the young man is still suffering from paralysis.
Along with apparent spinal injuries, Gray also broke his leg in three different places.
While the condition of Gray continues to be uncertain, Laduron said his department has closed the books on the investigation into Marshall.
