John Jacob Spidle Jr., 87, of Livingston, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center-Montclair in Birmingham.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2003, at Old Belmont Cemetery with Rev. Scott Jones officiating and under the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 2 to 2:30 on Sunday, May 25, 2003, at Belmont Church.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Spidle Hale.

He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth S. McCormick of Belmont, Ala.; two brothers, James Daniel Spidle and Ted Spidle, both of Belmont; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Spidle, Joey Lashley, Tommy Cartwright, Dick McPherson, Buddy McPherson and Jack McPherson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Old Belmont Church Cemetery Fund, 11175 Sumter County Road 22, Livingston, Ala. 35470.
