Isiah Hurns, 53, of Demopolis, died Sunday, September 1, 2002, at Bryan W. Whitfield Hospital.
Services were held Sunday, September 8, 2002, at Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis with Rev. Fred Moore officiating.
Burial was held at the Prout Cemetery under the direction of Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors.
He is survived by a devoted friend, Mrs. Rosa Mae Collier of Demopolis; nine step-children, Pealie (Sim) Essex of Jefferson, Shirley (Chuck) Ellis of Seattle, Wa., Roy Collier of Tuscaloosa, Rosie Collier and Otis Collier Jr., both of Demopolis, Mildred Worthy of Akron, Ohio, Lula (James Patterson of Detroit, Mich., and Mary Johnson and Glen Collier, both of Demopolis; two brothers, Van (Margaret) Hurns of Demopolis and Lafayette Richardson of Toldeo, Ohio; two nephews, Derrell Hurns and Renard (Nadine) Hurns of Fayetteville, Ga.; three nieces, Rosalyn (Lonnie) of Dothan, Tishawan Hurns of New York and Dora Hurns of Demopolis; one uncle, Rev. Willis (Mosella) Hurns of Demopolis; a devoted cousin, Ocie Hurns of New York; two devoted friends, Ceaser Earl Lewis of Demopolis and James Ash of Birmingham; and a host of toher realatives and friends.
